WHAT IS GATE EXAM?
GATE stands for GRADUATE APTITUDE TEST IN ENGINEERING, an entrance exam conducted by IIT and Indian Institute of Science for admission to M.Tech. courses in IITs, NITs, BITS etc.

WHO CAN WRITE GATE EXAM?
The candidate who has either appeared for the final B.Tech. engineering Degree exam or pass from a recognised University, is eligible to apply for GATE. The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.

HOW MANY TIMES CAN A PERSON ATTEND GATE EXAM?
There is no restriction to number of attempts to GATE that means, one can appear for GATE as many as times as he wishes. There is also no upper age limit to apply for GATE.

HOW TO APPLY AND WHAT ARE THE MODE OF GATE EXAMS?
You can only fill the application form online only, you have to choose the option to take the test, either computer based test OR Paper based test.
HOW IS THE PAYMENT FOR GATE EXAM DONE?

You can make the payment during the ONLINE application process by choosing one of the following options:
  •  Online Payment: Through Netbanking 
  •  Challan Payment: Payment by cash at any branch of Canara Bank or State Bank of India.
